For her the National School of Dance has literally been a second home. When a child she was fascinated with the art of Ballet and after 10 years of tu tu, she wanted to explore the other aspects of the dance arena. So for over the past 5 years, she has been performing both at local and international levels in Modern Dance which could involve variations of Ethnic, Liturgical and Interpretive among other kinds of dances.

This focused, assertive and amiable Aries born is a very ambitious 3rd year University of Guyana student. Her thirst for independence has led her to pursue a degree in Business Management so that one day she could be among the most efficient, resourceful, yet unique Business Managers in Guyana and we dare say, worldwide.

Her strict, early up-bringing undergirded by sound morals from her Church Youth Group has imbued in her a sense of fairness in competition and respect for authority. Dacia is now an affable, dazzling and dynamic personality.

In the year 2002, Dacia was placed 2nd Runner-up from among 19 delegates at the Miss Carnival Pageant and was also awarded prizes for the "Best Gown" and the "Miss Body Beautiful" segments at that same event. Her self-choreographed dance routine was awarded "Best Talent" at the Miss Carnival, 2002, while her jovial and sincere personality copped the coveted title of "Miss Congeniality" at the Miss Jaycees Caribbean Queen Pageant, 2005.

Miss Blackmoore has been modeling for various designers both internationally and locally. This list includes two well-accepted local artists, Olympia Small and Michelle Cole.

Recently Dacia discovered another talent in her already versatile personality. Because she is a trained Peer-Educator/Counsellor with Artiste In Direct Support (AIDS), she got the opportunity to make a debut in playing the Lead Supporting Actress (Dawn) in the World Aids Day Film "Against All Odds", a film which has been very successful throughout the Caribbean and in some parts of England, USA and Europe.

But Dacia's heart lies in her talent for dancing. It charts true expression to her movement to the smooth, serenading rhythm of the melodious voices of her favourite group Destiny's Child. She also enjoys other varieties of music.
