Ginesta David was born November 4th 1984 to her parents, the Rev. Reginald and Marilyn David. She has four sisters whom she considers to be the most wonderful individuals anyone could ever meet.

She attended St. Theresa's Primary School and completed her CXC at R.V.C Private School. Ms. David is perusing a Diploma in Information Technology at Adults Education Association. However her greatest dreams lie in becoming an accountant and, as such, she plans to read for her degree.

This 5'6" beauty spends her leisure time modeling, dancing and interacting with the people. She feels that God has blessed her life greatly with much talent and Charisma.

Ginesta entered into the world pageantry at age sixteen where she gained the 1st runner-up spot in the Miss Inter School Pageant and Miss East Berbice Talented Teen. The biggest achievement she has attained in pageantry came on the 17th of September 2003, when she won the coveted Miss Guyana African Heritage crown, along with seven of the nine prizes. Ginesta was given the opportunity to travel oversees to study the African Culture and Tourism of St. Kitts, Trinidad and Tobago and the United States of America. She was privileged to take part in the Memorial Day parade.

Having gained much pageantry experience, she embarked on a new journey with her sisters forming a dancing school and modeling agency, 'Jeriah Gem Dancers'. This is where her artistic talent plays an important part in choreographing dances, lecturing on the art of make-up and skin care. She believes that with God all things are possible and, trusting in him she, knows he will give her strength and guide her to victory at this year's Miss Guyana World.
