Meleesa Natasha Payne is a nineteen year-old with a passion for academics pursuits, as well as modeling, dancing and designing.

After leaving secondary school, she attended the Critchlow Labour College where she gained passes in the Industrial Relations and Sociology programme.

Meleesa was crowned Miss Fantasy in 2000. She was the first runner-up at both the Miss Guyana Talented Teen, 2001 and the Miss Guyana African Heritage Pageant, 2003. She represented Guyana at the Miss Ecstasy International Pageant in 2005. Meleesa is a member of both the Kitty Methodist Youth Group and the Kitty Methodist Young Adults Group. She likes helping young people like herself understand the love of God. She is also part of the Street Childrens Charity Workers' Group, ensuring that meals, clothing and medical attention are provided for the less fortunate children of Georgetown, Guyana. Involvement in this group has allowed her the opportunity to realize how blessed human beings all are and she hopes some day to play a greater part in helping the less fortunate.

Meleesa is also attached to the International Classique Dance Company where she gained the award for Best Female at the Colour of La Dance Production in April, 2005.

At present she is a dance teacher at the Classique Dance School and a Costume Designer whose aim is to become a child physiologist.
