REIGNING Miss Guyana World 2003 Alexis Glasgow, yesterday paid a courtesy call on Acting President Sam Hinds at his Wight’s Lane, Kingston office.

Miss Glasgow will be this country’s delegate at the Miss World 2003 pageant to be staged in the beautiful tropical resort of Sanya, China on December 6, where 107 of the world’s most beautiful women will compete for the coveted crown.

The second largest island in China, Sanya is located at the southern most tip of Hainan Island, and is an important political, economic, cultural and foreign trade port. It is also famous coastal tourist city filled with tropical landscapes and local customs and is called "the remotest cape of the earth" since ancient time.
