First runner-up of the recently held Miss JamZone pageant, Janella Lewis, has been selected to represent Guyana at the upcoming Miss Europe Junior pageant billed for Prague, Czech Republic on October 4.
The pageant is open to girls from all over the world, once they are between the ages of 15 and 20. Franchise holder for the pageant, Derek Moore, told The Scene yesterday that initially he wanted Miss Guyana World Candace Charles to represent Guyana at the Miss Europe Junior pageant but because of a clause in the contract signed with the Miss World committee she is unable to do so.

He said he had written to the Miss World committee seeking permission to have the young beauty queen participate in the upcoming pageant but this was refused. He said he decided to select Janella because he worked with the JamZone pageant and got to know her. And on the plus side she is a teenager. Janella is 18-years-old.
Kean Bowen, a runner-up in the Miss Guyana World 2006 pageant had represented Guyana at the Miss Europe Junior pageant in the Czech Republic last year and she placed in the top ten
