Grandparents of the Beautiful Swiss girl from South America

ST. MARGRETHEN SG – Margrith (75) und Paul Herzog (76) are the grandparents of the most beautiful young Swiss girld– from South America! Their granddaughter, Jasmine, (18) is Miss Guyana

Jasmine's Grandparents are overjoyed about Jasmine winning the Miss Guyana Title .

The call reached the Herzog's one morning on 18 September at their home in St St Margrethen. Their son Kurt (50), had emigrated to Guyana 25 years ago - he said "congratulations! You are the grandparents of Miss Guyana!" It was that evening that Lauriane Gillièron (21) another Swiss was chosen as another beauty queen Lauriane in Locarno and Jasmin Herzog in Georgetown at the northeast coast of South America. "we couldn't believe it" says Grandmother Margrith after the long distance call. "our granddaughter, Jasmine is Miss Guyana!"

What her grandparents in St. Margrethen did not know was that Jasmin was already well known as a catwalk model in Guyana.

Their son, Kurt, has a licence for the capture of wild and exotic animals in Guyana. Now Jasmine has exchanged her rubber boots for high heels

On 10 December the Miss World competition starts in Sanya, China - this time Jasmine will not be competing against reptiles but will compete with the most beautiful women of the world for the Miss World Crown.

Jasmine was only once in Switzerland as a 9 month old baby "a journey to Switzerland would be the biggest thing for me" said Jasmine.

Margrith and Paul Herzog would be very welcome in Guyana but as they suffer from back problems the journey to South America would be to arduous for them. The only problem: The Herzog's do not speak English well and Jasmine has only started to learn a few words of Swiss German. Should such a beautiful girl as Jasmine visit St.Margrethen , however it would not be a problem to find an interpreter.
