According
to a press release from the Miss Guyana World secretariat, Shim
will also participate in the Model of the World Contest in Shunde,
China on November 7. During
Shim's stay in London, she will be the guest of honour at a reception
which will be hosted by Guyana High Commission and hostess at a
dinner and dance in Tooting, organised by the Miss Guyana World
Organisation. Shim's competition gown will be designed by Derek Moore and some of her wardrobe will be designs of Pat Coates. She will also have pieces donated by several boutiques provision of tokens and other promotional material for Ms. Shim to take to China. The Ministry will also be involved in tutoring Miss Shim on tourism issues in preparation for the Miss World Contest. A
farewell fashion show for Shim, which will also be the launching
of Moore's 'Fashion Rock' collection will be held on October 10
at 20 Bel Air Gardens from 5.30 pm. Tickets cost $500. |
