Miss World hopeful calls on President

President Jagdeo and Miss Guyana/World Suzette Shim.

MISS Guyana/World 2004 delegate Suzette Shim called on President Bharrat Jagdeo on Friday, fulfilling another of the activities she’s engaged in before she leaves for the annual pageant.

Ms. Shim, a second year business management student at the University of Guyana, met with President Jagdeo at his State House residence accompanied by chaperon Asmita Chand.

The 19-year-old Guyanese beauty leaves next month to sharpen up her preparation for the 2004 Miss World pageant in November. Guyanese Deryck Moore is designing her national costume. Her platform is “Abuse of Woman.”

Ms. Shim, who hails from Liliendaal, is aspiring to become a fashion enterprise proprietor.

In addition to paying courtesy calls, she is involved in charity work and activities related to her platform. .
