Shim-mering beauty queen takes a bow

An exotic beauty brought a touch of glamour to a High Street shop as she prepared to measure up against some of the world's most attractive women.

Miss Guyana 2004, Suzette Shim, appeared at boutique Republica, in Peascod Street, Windsor, on Friday, October 22, as part of a promotional tour before this year's Miss World Pageant.

The 18-year-old South American beauty modelled clothes by personal clothing designer Derek Moore and also met shoppers.

Miss Shim was joined by Guyanese musician Slingshot and former Miss World and Miss Puerto Rico, Wilnelia Forsyth, who is married to TV presenter Bruce.

The visit to Windsor was part of a whistle-stop publicity tour. She picked up her national title in July after finishing runner-up last year.

She will now go on to represent her country in the Miss World pageant in Sanya, China, on December 4.
